Senior Cost Analyst opening at Beiersdorf in Norwalk CT

RESPONSIBILITIES:· Be the conduit between the plant management team and accounting. Provide accounting services including closing the variable cost ledger, providing variance analysis, investigating usual monthly deviations, develop trend reports and analysis.· Assist with month end closing process: Record required monthly accruals; Analyze month-end manufacturing variance balances and explain deviations to standards; Analyze various Income Statement accounts; Record monthly supply chain metrics into SCALE· Analyze deviations in the monthly PC SoI (Production Center - Statement of Income). · Maintain and establish standard costs within the SAP system including: develop cost standards for annual budget; develop fixed costs for annual budget; create new cost standards new SKU’s during the year; provide cost estimates as requested to support the new product development cycle. · Assist in the budgeting process for both variable costing and plant fixed costs.· Interface with and respond to inquiries from BDF AG Supply Chain Controlling.· Track and monitor inventory movements.
